Citrus Coasters and Holder Crochet Pattern — English PDF

How to use / Who it's for: intermediate crocheters comfortable with magic rings, sc and increases, joined rounds without turning, final-pull-through colour changes, one relaxed carried strand, BLO and flat weaving. Use compatible smooth DK cotton about 100-125 m per 50 g, with a 3.0 mm starting hook; adjust to washed gauge. The coasters use one working plus one enclosed feed, while the holder uses one working feed. Add a needle, marker, scissors, tape, ruler, drying surface and the intended empty cup. Finish all four coasters before fitting the holder.

Good to know: at assumed 24 sc per 10 cm, each 72-stitch coaster is about 9.55 cm wide. At a separate 25 sc and 30 wall rounds per 10 cm, the default 84-stitch holder is about 10.70 cm outside diameter with a nominal 3 cm wall; a 0.15 cm wall-thickness model gives about 10.40 cm inside. Check the actual floor after two wall rounds and recheck the rim; shorten plain H walls if reach is difficult, keeping the turn and two rim rounds. For all four, allow Cream 38-42 m total, orange flesh 22-25 m/rind 7-8 m, lemon flesh 12-14 m/rind 4-5 m, and lime flesh 12-14 m/rind 4-5 m. Holder: Oatmeal 46-50 m/Sage 8-10 m. Extra three-colour trials need Cream 18-21 m total plus each flesh 5-6 m and each rind 3-4 m; the extra holder trial needs Oatmeal 12-14 m/Sage 4-5 m. Coaster budgets include both working and carried feeds, joins, tails and reserve; the holder has no carrier. Sizes and consumption are planning estimates; changed counts need recalculation.
